1. Air Source Heat Pumps

A heat pump extracts warmth from the outside air and transfers it into the pool water. They have become a very popular replacement for existing gas and oil pool boilers due to their efficiency.  These units are powered by electricity and do not actually generate heat, instead they move the heat from the outside air and compress it then put this heat into the pool water.

✅ Pros: Highly energy-efficient and reliable.

⚠️ Cons: Performance decreases in colder weather making the unit more costly to run that gas or oil swimming pool boilers.
